What is Kitchen Coalition?
Kitchen Coalition serves up well-balanced, freshly prepared meals and a whole new way to fight hunger. We know that not everyone facing hunger has the home, health, or ability to use the groceries our food bank offers. So, we’ve partnered with a few local restaurants and caterers that turn food bank ingredients into nutritious, freshly prepared meals.
What Kitchen Coalition does
Kitchen Coalition begins by listening to neighbors and community leaders to understand the need for prepared meals and ensure that the meals represent their dietary needs, such as halal, kosher, global cuisine, or simply comfort food. Then, restaurants and caterers, who are committed to hunger relief, cook meals that meet our neighbors’ needs and are matched with local nonprofits to serve neighbors.
We have partnered with non-traditional partners such as The VA, Gladys Ray Shelter, The Jeremiah Program and the F5 Project to reach individuals and families who are going through times of transition.
We are hoping in the next fiscal year to serve 300 + meals a week through Kitchen Coalition!

About kitchen coalition

It makes me feel cared about, thought of, full in both ways. The gift of food is like… it’s a great feeling.
Belinda | Neighbor
The positive feedback coming back from the community is they love the meals. Everything that we put in…we’re preparing these meals as though these are our paying customers. We’re creating that well-balanced meal and bringing it back to the community.
