The Great Plains Food Bank has received a $10,000 grant from Red Nose Day that will provide needed food assistance to children living throughout North Dakota and Clay County, Minn. The grant is enough to provide 30,000 meals for children in need.
Specifically, the grant will benefit the Great Plains Food Bank School Pantry Program, which is now serving a total of 72 schools inside 20 different communities. Officially launched in 2017, the school pantry program places a food pantry inside of schools in high-need situations allowing students and their families additional access to food assistance.
