We met Cassidee and William on a recent visit to the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry distribution in Beulah, ND. The young couple are engaged to be married and working hard to prepare for their future. Thanks to you, they have help keeping food on the table while they work to get back on solid financial footing.
“I appreciate everything you all do,” Cassidee says.
Cassidee is a full-time college student with a part-time job and William works a full-time job at the local gas station.
The couple both caught COVID-19 last year. Unfortunately, since their jobs do not offer a sick time benefit, they both lost wages while recovering and have been trying to catch up ever since.
Thankfully, Cassidee saw the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry advertised in the local paper and shared that she is grateful for the food they receive in her rural community.
“Any food we can get helps so much,” Cassidee says.
“It brings hope to people.”
This holiday season, you are truly bringing hope and help to neighbors across our communities. Thank you for working together with the Great Plains Food Bank to end hunger today, tomorrow and for good.
