Barilynn has a lot of goals set out for her life, but her priority right now is helping provide for her mother and brother — something you’re making a lot easier through your generosity.
We met Barilynn when the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry came to Twin Buttes and she received food for her entire family.
Barilynn lives with her mother and brother, pooling resources to make sure everyone’s needs are met. Barilynn works for Tribal Housing and is a student at United Tribes Technical College, working towards a degree in business management.
In the meantime, Barilynn says previous debt and the increased cost of living have left her living paycheck to paycheck. That’s why she’s so grateful to pick up nutritious food from the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry.
“This is greatly appreciated,” she says.
Healthy food is especially critical for Barilynn’s mom, Heidi, who is recovering from cancer. Barilynn says the family uses all the food received from the Great Plains Food Bank and, she adds, the milk and potatoes are “amazing.”
This fall, Barilynn will return to school for a new semester, and she thanks you for both helping sustain her family and fuel her future.
“From my heart, thank you,” Barilynn says to friends like you.
