Charlotte Eide is a mom of four children all under the age of 11. With so many mouths to feed, she works hard along with her husband to supply the family the food they need to learn and grow into individuals with dreams for the future.
Charlotte and her husband do what they can to provide for their children, but COVID had made their lives a bit more challenging. Charlotte had two part-time jobs while her husband works for the county, but when COVID hit Charlotte lost one of those jobs. Lacking that structure, they have struggled to recover from it since.
The family had a system that was working. Charlotte’s husband’s salary was enough to cover their regular monthly bills and she was making enough to cover groceries, gas and entertainment expenses.
But COVID threw a wrench into that system.
The family has utilized resources such from the Great Plains Food Bank to help get by.
“It helps us supply what we can’t afford,” she said.
The food assistance the family receives has helped create a new system to keep their family happy, healthy and fed during trying times.
