KATRINA THANKS YOU
“I really appreciate the help and hard work [you] do to help families out.”
We met Katrina, Rylee, 3 and Lilly, 2 when they biked to a Great Plains Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry Program distribution in their western North Dakota community. Her 6 year old son Sylas was at home with Katrina’s husband, Joshua.
Joshua had recently been laid off from work. On top of that setback, their only vehicle broke down and they didn’t have the funds to repair it. The family lives in a rural community and Katrina says it’s difficult for Joshua to find work again without a reliable vehicle.
Without Joshua’s income, money is tight, and they really need to save up whatever they can to repair their car. Katrina is very thankful to you for helping provide her children with nutritious food during this difficult time.
Katrina knows that feeding her children healthy food (she shares that chicken and cereal are their favorites) helps Sylas have a successful school year and gives all her kids energy to enjoy some of their favorite activities — like riding bicycles.
“I really appreciate the help and hard work [you] do to help families out,” Katrina says to generous donors like you.
This back-to-school season, your support is essential to giving kids the fuel they need to learn and grow to their full potential. By making sure every child has access to balanced meals, you’re feeding the future of our community.
