Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation to partner with more than 50 food banks nationwide for Second Annual Day of Service
FARGO, N.D. – Through their All Within My Hands Foundation, rock band Metallica is encouraging their fans to volunteer at the Great Plains Food Bank on Wednesday, May 22. It is part of the Foundation’s Second Annual Day of Service where they are partnering with more than 50 food banks across the United States including the Great Plains Food Bank encouraging volunteering.
The day of service is part of a continued commitment to the Great Plains Food Bank and the fight to end hunger by Metallica and their Foundation. In September of 2018, Metallica presented the Great Plains Food Bank with a check for $10,000 and awarded a number of volunteers with tickets for their concert at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. The donation was enough to supply 30,000 meals to help hungry children, seniors and families across North Dakota and western Minnesota.
The Great Plains Food Bank is currently reserving spots in its volunteer repack center for those wishing to participate in the Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation Second Annual Day of Caring May 22. Fans can register to volunteer inside the Great Plains Food Bank that day by contacting Ceili Haugtvedt at 701.476.9110 or email@example.com.
Fans volunteering at the Great Plains Food Bank during the day of service will receive a special All Within My Hands Foundation t-shirt commemorating the day.
