Great Plains Food Bank names The Store House Food Pantry its 2017 Agency of the Year

FARGO, N.D. – The Great Plains Food Bank announced it has named The Store House Food Pantry located in Grand Forks its Agency of the Year for 2017. This is the highest honor given annually to the Great Plain’s Food Bank’s 213 partner agencies.

After undergoing realignment internally two years ago, The Store House Food Pantry has displayed incredible growth and has helped to fill a critical need in the Grand Forks community. Through strong commitment from volunteers, The Store House Food Pantry is able to hold distributions each Wednesday and serves between 80-90 households during that time.

“The Store House Food Pantry is a critical resource for many struggling with food insecurity in the Grand Forks area and we are thrilled to name them as our Agency of the Year for 2017,” Great Plains Food Bank CEO Steve Sellent said. “Our partner agencies were the backbone to our distributing a record 11.6 million meals throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota in 2017 and we thank the Store House Food Pantry for all they do and congratulate them on an excellent year in 2017.”
